The main components of industrial manipulator

The industrial robot is mainly composed of four parts: the actuator, the driving mechanism, the control system and the frame. 

1.Actuator 

Actuator includes the following parts :

(1) claw it is directly grasp (clamping or relaxing) the workpiece (or tool) component. Commonly used are claw type, suction cup type. 

(2) The wrist is a component connecting the claw and the arm, which plays the role of supporting the claw and expanding the movement range of the arm. It can realize rotation and swing motion. Sometimes, a manipulator without wrist action can also be used.

(3) the arm is a component supporting the wrist and claw. Generally can realize expansion, lifting and swing and other movements. 

(4) Column it is the support arm and other components of the device, is generally fixed, because the work needs to make transverse movement, often called mobile column. 

(5) walking mechanism it is the manipulator can complete the remote operation device, composed of roller and guide rail or multi-bar mechanism. 


2. Driving mechanism 

Driving mechanism is to drive the arm, wrist, claw and other components of the power device, usually has pneumatic, hydraulic, electric and other three forms. 


3 control system 

Control system is to control the manipulator according to the prescribed program motion device. It must be capable of storing or remembering information about commands, such as sequence of actions, location of arrival, and time. It can timely measure and process information, control instructions to the actuator of the manipulator, and send out fault alarm when necessary. 


4. The machine base is the basic component of the manipulator actuator and the driving mechanism.
